About This Event:
Join the Seminole County Lake Management Program and the SERV Program for a morning of community service at Lake Tuskawilla. Help us plant shoreline vegetation to enhance the lake’s ecosystem function, improve wildlife habitat, and boost water quality. It’s a chance to get involved, get wet, and make a difference!
Event Details:
- Duration: Event lasts 3 hours.
- Activities: Planting shoreline vegetation. Part of the fun is getting muddy and wet!
- Bright Futures/School Hours: Available for participants.
What to Bring:
- Attire: Closed-toe shoes required (boots, water shoes, old sneakers). Wear old clothes and work gloves.
- Recommended: Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) and bug repellent.
Registration and Liability:
No cost to participate. Each volunteer must turn in a completed liability form upon arrival. Forms are available on the SERV webpage.
