Funded through the American Relief Act and supplemental hurricane appropriations to support critical infrastructure improvements across the city.
Cut through federal channels to secure a massive funding package for our wastewater plant replacements—structured highly favorably as 50% direct grant (principal forgiveness) and 50% interest-free loan to protect local taxpayers from high interest rates.
Secured direct state appropriations to build advanced tray aerators at our treatment plants, successfully reducing water contaminants, extending equipment life, and dramatically improving the taste and odor of our drinking water.
Advanced critical design and construction phases to connect reclaimed water main systems, conserving millions of gallons of drinking water and ensuring strict compliance with state consumptive use permits.
Fully funded the Michael Blake Boulevard Wetland outfall redesign, resolving long-standing roadway flooding issues and protecting nearby neighborhoods.
Preserving Winter Springs’ natural canopy and restoring our water systems.
Successfully utilized emergency Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) funding to execute massive debris, sediment, and blockages removal along Gees Creek and Sheoah Creek, mitigating flooding risks for surrounding homes.
Passed strict fiscal guardrails on the municipal Arbor Fund (Fund 140), ensuring developer mitigation fees are spent exclusively on planting and maintaining public trees and urban canopy preservation, preventing these environmental dollars from being raided for general municipal equipment.
Championed the launch of the city’s first drone-assisted creek monitoring program, allowing public works to utilize aerial technology to inspect protected creek wetlands and catch blockages before they cause neighborhood flooding.

Opening City Hall, professionalizing staff, and returning accountability to residents.

Designed and launched an interactive, map-based public tracker on the city website, allowing residents to view real-time zoning, building permits, and site plans in their neighborhoods to prevent backroom developer deals.
Modernized City Hall technology to broadcast all commission meetings live on YouTube with high-accuracy closed-captioning, ensuring our senior residents and those with hearing impairments can fully participate in their local government.
Together, we can continue protecting and strengthening Winter Springs for generations to come.
